Clifton Continue Pre-Season Build Up PDF Print E-mail

clifeveningresized.jpgClifton put in a good performance against champtionship team Bristol at a well supported and contested match at Station road on Friday. Clifton competed very well for the first 30 minutes before Bristol struck in quick succession before and after the break to put the match beyond reach. Clifton did score a late try through David Cook. Click on read more to read about Clifton's remaining pre season program.

Many thanks to David Stephenson at Avon Sports for some great photos of the match. Click here to view or buy them.

Clifton support all levels of rugby from an ambitious first team to a more social Nomads team going for their third league title in succession.

If you or your children are interested in playing as a Mini or Junior (7 to 17 years old) we run a full set of teams. Please contact the coach by clicking on the links to the left. There is a free Taster sessions for Clifton Minis and Juniors - Sunday 19th September (or Mini age groups u6 - u11 any Sunday in September).

The match enabled Clifton to build the momentum to their pre-season program after having played Glamorgan Wanderers the week before and Old Reds in mid week. Their last pre-season fixture is a tough game away against Clevedon  who are making a big day of it to celebrate the opening of their new clubhouse today. Clifton will then be ready for the much anticipated league opener away against Canterbury. With competition for places hotting up training has been very well attended and all four teams at the club are looking forward to the start of the season proper.  clifbrisresize.jpg
