Clifton under 7s squad split into two teams and played a series of matches against Keynsham u7s winning two and drawing two matches. Some great play all round and Tom Kipling scored his first try for the club.
Clifton under 8s won convincingly 10-1 against Keynsham with Sami Hamid scoring 7 tries.
Clifton under-9s gave parents and coaches an early Christmas present with their best performance of the season, winning 5 tries to 2 against a big, powerful Keynsham side. Try scorers were McKenzie Vaughan, Finnegan, Sam Sproull (2) and Herbie Gale (2). There was some fine passing and brave tackling, with Sam Sproull producing the best effort of the day when he made a try-saving tackle on Keynsham's biggest player after a long chase. In the second game Clifton's other side were overpowered, losing 6-1, with Alex Reid the sole scorer. But there was a spirited second half performance, with some good tackling and passing.
Clifton under 10s were well beaten by a strong Keynsham side 5 tries to nil in the first match but put up a much more spirited performance in the second match losing 3 tries to 2. Freddie Vaughan scored both Clifton tries.
Under 11s and Under 12s did not have matches
