Hello, I'm pleased to say that we returned from Lydney with 5 points yesterday afternoon after a full on derby match with our neighbours from West Gloucestershire. Sam Smith scored three tries on his full debut, so congratulations are in order! Next Saturday sees the visit of Hartpury College who have been playing well and are well positioned in the league. That said, they lost yesterday going down 18-32 at home to Old Albanians so we can expect to see a motivated side looking to put that result behind them. Hartpury are coached by former Clifton RFC player and coach John Barnes so it promises to be a very interesting encounter. There will be our usual pre-match lunch at the bargain price of £15 for two courses including your ground entrance fee. Please let me know by close of business on Thursday if you wish to attend. Lunch will sit down at 1pm. Please note that a get together of former players of the 60s/ 70s vintage is being arranged for the pre-match lunch.
