Clifton u9s Two Clifton under-9 sides had a superb morning with a clean sweep of victories over tough-tackling visitors Thornbury. In the first round of games the Clifton teams won 8-2 and 6-3, while in the second round the scores were 5-4 and an emphatic 10-1. Congratulations to all the players in both Clifton sides for their dogged defence against sizeable opposition, with special mention for the outstanding tackling of Finn and Alex Reid. With 29 tries in all there are too many names to list all the scorers, but Mackenzie Vaughan and Sam Sproull each had a good haul, while Will Palmer crossed the line three times. Well done to everyone for a great all-round effort.

Clifton u10s won three matches against Thornbury and lost one for an overall score of 45-15 with Harrison Smith, George Stagg, Luke Nottage and Tom Tranter scoring the pick of the Clifton tries.

Clifton u12s went out of the Gloucester cup with narrow losses to Hucclecore (5-0) and Thornbury (10-0) but a creditable draw against Old Richians (5-5) rounded the day off.
