| Clifton continue their good form with victory over Hartpury |

Clifton produced a terrific performance to pick up the victory against a leading team that had been a key target of the management. Whilst Clifton came close against Henley in their last home fixture this time they were not to be denied and came out on top. Clifton scored two tries from the impressive James Golledge whilst Ben Roberts moving up to fly half picked up 14 points from the boot. However, this was a whole team performance with outstanding performances throughout. Although Director of Rugby Darren Lloyd may have a few questions asked by our generous sponsors the Clifton Sausage who provide a meal for two for the winner of the man of the match award after he awareded it to the entire team. Clifton did lead for most of the game and defended heroically in the second half as Hartpury showed moments of real quality demonstrating why they are at the top of the table. Clifton will now look to build further on their recent form with a trip to top of the table Richmond next week who will be smarting from their loss at Old Albanians last week. In other games the Wanderers beat Cleve 29 - 19, the Bandits put in a good peformance at top of the table North Bristol before narrowly losing 8 - 7 and the Nomads beat Southmead 51 - 0. The under 18s picked up a good win against Matson 55 - 29 with tries from Ed Suchy 2, Ben Foley 2, Ollie Bowden 2, Marcus Fatoye and debutant Ross House, fly half Wil Watson added 15 points with the boot. Clifton play Hertford away at their Hoe Lane ground on Saturday as the season moves into the last quarter. Clifton have enjoyed a good run of form recently winning 7 of their last 11 games and picking up 8 bonus points in the process but they will need to keep up their performance level against a team who despite sitting just above the relegation zone have also put in some impressive results.
