Clifton Review 2011 - 2012 PDF Print E-mail

Many thanks to all those who have been involved in playing, coaching, organising, volunteering and supporting for Clifton this year. Thanks also go to our generous sponsors for their continued support and those who work to ensure the club can function on a daily basis. It has been a long season with a tremendous amount of hard work but that has paid off with a huge amount of rugby played and enjoyed and some impressive results. This review highlights the good bits.

Clifton is proud to be part of the rugby community offering people of all ages the chance to play the fantastic game of rugby union and develop their game to the highest level.

416

people pulled on the famous Clifton jersey this season and played rugby for Clifton
Through the hard work and dedication of many coaches, managers, helpers and supporters we are able to provide the chance to play and enjoy rugby to a large number of people.

59

people gave up their time to coach and manage the teams not including countless other supporters, parents and others who helped

Clifton provides rugby from 6 to 17 year olds in our Junior and Mini’s section whilst our senior section provides a Colts team, and four men’s team who can accommodate social players through to those who want to prove themselves at a national standard. At first and second team level we set very high targets for ourselves - as we must considering we are competing against famous teams across the country such as Richmond, Henley and Redruth (and of course local rivals Dings).

It certainly does not always go according to plan and we do not pretend it does but we will not worry about that here! This is about celebrating the highlights of our season and the enjoyment we got from it.
