Clifton are pleased to announce a continuation of their strong coaching lineup for 2012 - 13 and a very competitive pre-season lineup including matches and live training sessions against other local clubs.

 

Continuity is provided in the coaching and management lineup as the successful team of the last few seasons is maintained with Darren Lloyd as Director of Rugby and former Bristol captain Matt Salter Head Coach. Former England and British Lion Mark Regan is included as Hooker specialist with Mark Nichols continuing as Operations Manager and also filling the Wanderers and Development coaching roles. Hallam Smith becomes first team manager. Following the retirement of a number of senior players Clifton started last season with almost a completely new team and a large number of debutants. The team developed well throughout the season finishing in a credible mid table position in a hugely competitive National league. With a number of those players now experienced in national league rugby the management team will be looking to progress this season with new players joining and others already at the club looking to force their way into the team.

 

Clifton continue to welcome any players who believe they are up to the challenge of National league rugby to come to pre-season training and stake their claim. The excellent coaching lineup Clifton posses ensures that given the right level of dedication and talent players will be given the opportunity to improve and develop to fulfill their full potential and become part of the strong team spirit.
