FS Peck Exchange
I just wanted to thank you and your colleagues for your fantastic website.  I am the great grandson of FS Peck and I have been writing up my ancestry.  Your website, especially the Times obituary, has been very helpful and the pictures delightful.  I cannot add anything to the rugby side but have a lot on the Peck family.  One of Frank's grandsons had the (probably) unique distinction of having both his grandfathers run over by trains!  HW Peck (Uncle Bertie) did not return to Sarawak because he married Mary Weston Stevens.  She was the niece of Sir Joseph Dodge Weston, 4 times mayor of Bristol and twice MP, and the sister of Sir Joseph Weston Stevens, sheriff 1902, and on the board of the Patent Nut & Bolt Co, as it formed GKN (Guest Keen Nettlefold) by a triple merger.  The family did not want Mary to head off East.

My grandfather and father, as well as myself, went to Clifton College as did descendants of HW, ES and AW Peck (the 4th brother Arthur presumably did not play for Clifton RFC).  ES Peck, incidentally, was a major in the IMS, and so, like FS, a doctor.  His son, Sir Edward Peck GCMG, a distinguished diplomat, died quite recently at a great age.

Thank you again for your tremendous work.

Nicholas Peck
