5 Clifton registered players were in action last night as Gloucester Rugby take 14-15 win over Bristol Bears at Station Road.

Clifton were represented on both sides of the West Country Premiership Shield clash as Gloucester sneaked a 14-15 win under floodlights at Station Road. Reece Dunn and Jacob Morris have been highly influential in Clifton's recent league campaign and the Gloucester Academy players were just as effective in last nights match, along with Tom Stanton and Alex Morgan. Dave Hill came off the bench for Bristol Bears as he looks to gain some competitive game time as the season draws to a close for Clifton.

Bristol Bears ‘A’ suffered late heartbreak as Todd Gleave’s last-gasp try snatched a dramatic victory for Gloucester United in Monday night’s Premiership Rugby Shield clash.

Bristol had led 14-0 midway through the first-half thanks to two tries in seven minutes from Reiss Cullen and Toby Fricker.

But Gloucester responded before the half was out with Gareth Denman and Louis Rees-Zammit touching down in quick succession to claw the Cherry and Whites back into it.

And Gleave struck the killer blow five minutes from time, applying the finishing touches to a maul in the left-hand corner to seal the points for Gloucester United.
