Bristol Saracens RFC vs Old Bristolians RFC compete for the Wadworth 6X Bristol & District Combination Vase Final 2018

In 1823, William Webb Ellis first picked up the ball in his arms and ran with it. And for the next 156 years forwards have been trying to work out why.

This year's final will be contested between Bristol Saracens RFC and Old Bristolians RFC and is sure to be a showcase of the city's passion for rugby union.

Clifton Rugby are proud to host the Vase Final again, having hosted 6 of them in the last 10 years. A match under lights between the same two sides who last met in this final 2 seasons ago at Station Road is going to be a brilliant way to start the Easter weekend in style.

Saracens, who will have appeared in 4 out of the last 5 Vase Finals, will be looking to reverse the result the last time they played OBs.

Old Bristolians will surely be wanting to repeat the dominant result from 2015/16.

Either way, if you want passion, skill & local interest, you should look no further than Station Road, Cribbs Causeway this Thursday evening.

Entry on the gate is £5 and there will be full bar and kitchen facilities. U17s and O65s are, of course, welcome to join the fun free of charge.

See you on Thursday night for a cracker!
