With an unusual 11am kick off time, the Nomads set the scene on a great day of rugby at Station Road.
Canterbury Vets - The Zingari - had been enjoying Bristol's hospitality until just a few minutes before the game started it seemed (evidenced by the flammable atmosphere in their changing room).
The contest commenced a few minutes late but took off with a great intensity.
Scoring freely the sides traded trys with the match being even at 14-14 at half time.
Ultimately the sobriety of the home team helped spur us on and despite the visitors passing around shots at the break a healthy lead was established.
The game marked the retirement of Jamie Farrell & Aftab Hamid as Nomads' management - they will be missed.
Ryan Jamieson also claims to be retiring but given his understudy's useless but stylish conversion attempt he may have to stay on :)
