Each year Bristol Clubs gather to remember Bristol's fallen rugby rugby players at the ground dedicated to their sacrifice and memory

For though the dust that's part of them, To dust again be gone, Yet here still beat the hearts of them, The game they handed on.
- Walter Pearce, RFU President, 1931

Clifton Rugby was represented by our Director of Rugby, Darren Lloyd, at today's service.

More than 20 of Bristol's clubs and associations were in attendance at what has become a poignant reminder that 'freedom isn't free'.

Our own 4th Official, Katy Tingley, was also there to lay a wreath on behalf of the BRIS Trust, who support young people in rugby across the city.

The BRIS Trust supported last year's visit by our Under 16s to the World War One memorial at Thiepval.

Clifton Rugby will hold its own memorial service on Sunday at 11am at the Club's own Cenotaph. All are welcome.
