Clifton RFC Annual Financial Meeting Clifton RFL Proposal Club Development Update

On Monday 17th November, Club Members met at the Clubhouse to hear details of the Club’s finances and also to discuss opportunities for the Club and progress on Club development.

The meeting started at 7pm promptly, chaired by President Raine, who introduced Immediate Past Treasurer Keith Bonham.

Keith who had been in post as Clifton RFC’s Treasurer for half a century gave a verbal report on the Club’s finances accompanied by Management Accounts which were shared with those present.

Keith has steered the Club through calm and choppy financial waters over his 50 years as Treasurer and it was with some clear pride that he reported the Club’s good financial health at the end of 2013/14.

The Club’s new Treasurer Elect, John Levis, was at Keith’s side and has already introduced new accounting practices and financial controls to support the Club’s current and future plans. We look forward to John’s first Treasurer’s report next year.

The Financial Report was accepted by the Members present.

After the Financial Report, Members had the opportunity to hear a presentation from Rob Webber, Chief Executive of semi-professional local rugby league team, Gloucester All Golds.

The last presentation for the evening was a report from the Club’s Development Group with a slide set and Q&A from Wyn Tingley (Development Group Secretary and Club Executive Member).

(A current list of Development Group members is attached),

The process of fact finding and planning started over a year ago and has so far seen online surveys for Members, two evening development meetings open to all Members and a considerable amount of work behind the scenes by the Development Group - chaired by Sheridan Smith.

The meeting closed at 9.30pm - Thank you for all that attended.
