“I've loved playing here and I wish Clifton well moving into next season.”
Clifton Rugby can today confirm that Centre Sam Goatley has signed for Championship side Hartpury RFC. Goatley made an immediate impact on his arrival in December and has amassed 15 appearances for the Lavender & Blacks, scoring 10 tries including 4 against Barnes.
Hartpury's acquisition of Goatley is hardly surprising given his impressive form this season, having been voted Clifton Rugby's Player's Player of the Year at the end of season awards as well as securing NCA's National 2 South Player of the Week following his performances against Barnes.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank all the boys for a great season, I've loved playing here and I wish Clifton well moving into next season."
Sam leaves Clifton with everyone at the club's respect of his decision and best wishes and look forward to seeing him compete in the second tier of English Rugby in the coming season.
Clifton will be making announcements shortly on the squad for the 2019/20 season as Matt Salter puts the final additions to the team.
