Harper, Harrison & Bullimore return to starting line up for Exiles clash

Results and performance haven't been where we have wanted the last 3 weeks. We sat down on Monday and we have really ironed out some of the detail both sides of the ball. We have had a good week and we need to transfer that on Saturday.
- Matt Salter, Head Coach

Clifton travel to Hazlewood on Saturday knowing that it marks the start of an important run of games for the squad over the coming weeks that will have a significant impact on where they sit in the table come the end of the season. Relegation threatened London Irish came out on top in the corresponding fixture; a rain soaked 12-22 loss for the Lavender & Blacks. It was a result that has not slipped the minds of the players, given the match against Guernsey and the Exiles recent run of form will no doubt sharpen their focus as to the challenge that awaits them.

Charlie Bullimore returns to the starting team after being rested last week following his return from injury and partners Jack Williams and Mark Roberts in the front row. Henry Harper has passed a fitness test and he comes into partner Matty Davies, who continues in the second row. Chris Rovery makes his final start for Clifton before he departs for Canada next week and he joins Niall Gibbons in the back row and Andrew Chesters is replaced by Matthew Hall, following his injury in the closing minutes against Canterbury.

Mitch Spencer rotates once again with Ross Pritchard to start at 9 and once he partners Brad Barnes at 10. The back line sees just the one change from last week, with Sam Harrison replacing Hugh Campbell on the right wing, with Will Pomphery on the left wing and Tom Francis continues at full back. Sam Goatley and Chris Levesley, who captains the side one more, continue their partnership in the center.

The bench sees Jack Spencer return along with Beno Edwards and Dan Hill, with Pritchard & Hugh Campbell rounding out the 20.

With Clifton travelling to relegation threatened Birmingham & Solihull next week, before entertaining Henley Hawks on the 3rd March, this weekend marks the start of a very important phase for the squad.
