Clifton returned from Canterbury having bagged a bonus point win on Saturday,
winning 25-42.
The boys scored 6 tries, coming from Newey (2), Bayliss, Woodward, Giltrow and
Peacock. With Brad Barnes added the extras.
Our Clifton Sausage Man of the Match was back row player Max Woodward who showed an impressive display in both attack and defence.
This coming Saturday sees the visit of Barnstaple and the two sides will be competing for the John Budd Trophy. The sides last met at the beginning of October on a damp day down in Devon . Clifton Rugby narrowly lost 24-22 in a close game at Pottington Road. The Barnstaple crowd provided a brilliant atmosphere and encouraged their side to their first victory in National 2 South.
This weekend Clifton will be looking to build on their most recent performance. The side is really coming to fruition with coaching staff are praising the recent efforts of the senior squads.
"Brilliant performance from the Clifton Rugby side today. Great to see practice transfer onto pitch. Some great decision making under pressure." - Assistant Coach, Ed Robinson
