The 1st XV make the trip to Cornwall this coming week end for an earlier KO time of 2.00pm

Clifton Rugby are licking their wounds after Henley Hawks last weekend swooped in for the victory. Last weekend's match resulted in 27-29 and a losing bonus point for the lavender and blacks.

There is no time for rest as Saturday's fixture is going to see the 1st XV face a formidable cornish opponent in their own backyard. Sitting fourth in the league, Redruth have secured 17 wins in the duration of their 2016/2017 campaign and have proven their worth having taken a victory over league toppers Bishop's Stortford earlier this season.

Last time these two sides faced each other Clifton Rugby lost. However there was only an eight point deficit in a close match, which saw three tries for Clifton against Redruth's four. This weekend Clifton Rugby 1st XV will look to settle a score with Redruth taking on the notorious 'Hellfire corner'. Hellfire Corner is a corner of the pitch, which has in the past had a reputation to be a strong attacking area of the field for the home side. Cornish supporters get very vocal and act as the 16th man motivating their home side to increase pressure against any opponent visiting hellfire.

This weekend we shall see whether Clifton 1st XV overcome the challenges that await them.

If you're travelling please note due to the RBS Six Nations the match will KO at 2.00pm and the England Rugby v Scotland fixture will be shown straight after in the Redruth clubhouse.
