Saturday's successful Clifton Vets v PROPS match raised welcome funds for two Bristol Charities.

In glorious sunshine on Saturday a special rugby match was staged in advance of the National league 2 South senior fixture.

A Clifton Vets team hosted PROPS Barbarians in a hotly contested fixture which saw Paddy Golding open the scoring for Clifton, much to the delight of the large crowd who had come to see the event.

There was plenty of skill on show as both sides played adventurous rugby, a steady stream of replacements kept the pace up in warm sunshine. Clifton scored more tries but as usual, the match result will be recorded as an honourable draw :)

Importantly, many raffle tickets were sold and a well attended auction meant a significant sum was raised for two important local charities - PROPS and The Dan Hickey Fund.

Funds are still coming in and to date approximately £1,400 is available to distribute to the charities - a massive thank you to everybody who donated.

There are still some raffle prizes to collect - if any of the following numbers are yours, then the prizes are in the Clifton Rugby office!

Blue tickets:
1-5
121-125
216-220
51-55
181-185
406-410
61-65

The Clubhouse will be open this coming Tuesday 1st May for the Combination Cup semi-final (Clifton vs Old Reds) - you can pick up your prize then!

There are a couple of auction prizes unclaimed and a Bristol signed shirt for sale (£75).

Please get in touch if you would like to pick up the auction prizes or purchase the shirt.
