This weekend Clifton Rugby are home Tonbridge Juddians RFC who recently gained promotion to the National Two South League.

After a heavy defeat last week to Gloucestershire based side Cinderford RFC, Clifton Rugby pick themselves up this week and reflect on a fixture that saw them play away from their strengths. We focus now on the weekend ahead and towards opponents Tonbridge Juddians RFC.

So who are the side that gained the title as National League Three 2016/2017 champions and shocked the National Two South league after a first week 43 point win over Bury St Edmunds?

Tonbridge Juddians Rugby Football Club is an English rugby union team based in Tonbridge in Kent. The club runs four senior teams, a ladies side and the full range of junior teams. The first XV will play now in National League 2 South for the 2017-18 season having won National League 3 London & SE. This is the highest position in the club's history.

Last week the side lost at home to Canterbury RFC (24-36). They have scored an impressive 10 tries in their first two fixtures and are clearly a side to be cautious about. We will greet them with a warm welcome to Bristol and our rugby club on Saturday afternoon and hope that the lavender and black side can clinch their first victory of this season. Your support is encouraged and we invite you to come watch the guys take to the field this weekend. Gates open from 12:00pm.
