A brilliant video campaign featuring members on Sunday morning has secured the visit of BT Sport’s flagship rugby programme!

If you happened to see the club Chairman dashing around on Sunday morning, waving his iPhone and asking you to shout “hello! You should come to Clifton”, well now you know why!

BT Sport’s Rugby Tonight programme is going on tour and they were looking for a members club to host them. Apply by video was the request - so we did and we were selected!

Thank you to all who took part, you helped showcase our wonderful club on a regular (manic) Sunday.

So, what’s happening?

On Monday 17th September, the technical crew will arrive at the clubhouse to start to set up. At about 5pm members of the 1st XV will receive some very special coaching.

From about 6pm, the stars of the show (Sarra Elgan, Austin Healey, Sam Warburton and Ugo Monye) will start filming the episode.

There will be a chance for the Clifton players to set the season’s first score on the famous smashometer - who is our biggest hitter?

All this will be filmed in our clubhouse and broadcast on the following Wednesday!

How can you be involved? We have room for 125 Clifton members - the whole club should be represented, so watch out for details over the next few days on how to get the hottest ticket in town.

There will be no entry charge of course but the kitchen and bars will be open for you to have your supper and a refreshing drink.

Come along and show how fantastic our club and sport is!

Wyn
Chairman
