Summer Junior Rugby and Rugby League Starts This Sunday at Clifton RFC

For young players who have come to the end of the Rugby Union season and still want more rugby, Summer sessions are taking place at Clifton Rugby Club, starting this Sunday 11th May at 10:00 a.m.

On weekends, there are Rugby League sessions held in conjunction with Bristol Sonics. Both training and matches will be included, and no previous experience of Rugby League is required.

For midweek, the focus is on enjoyment-based rugby games, training & skills development. These are taken by RFL and RFU qualified and experienced coaches. Mid-week sessions are free to all players, and start on Wednesday 14th May at 6:30 p.m.

'These sessions are open to all abilities from "under-13's" (school year 8) through to "under-16's" (year 11), whether you're a member of any rugby club, or don't play club rugby at all.

We're providing positive coaching that's great for beginners, right through to developing and experienced players.' said Rugby League coach and co-organiser Karl Fearnley.

There is usually a charge for the weekend rugby league sessions, but for Clifton Junior members these sessions are free. If anyone wants to join Clifton for next season we can also look at including them in this offer.

Both midweek and weekend sessions with take place at Clifton Rugby Club, Station Road, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol BS10 7TB.

To sign up for these sessions and other events to develop your game, or just find out more please contact Andy White.
