We took our strongest team to the Land Rover Cup on 12/10 and had a mixed day. A good win against Trowbridge (15-0) was followed by a poor first half against Bradford-on-Avon resulting in a 5-15 loss. We qualified for the quarter finals where we were up against our old friends St. Brendans. A tough game took place, which our opponents seemed to spend most of offside. There was no way through for either side and a 0-0 draw resulted in the dreaded coin toss. St. Brendans specialise at the toss, having made it through 5 knock-out games over the last 2 years, despite having won only 1! inevitably we lost, and were out. A tough way to lose, which we put down to experience.
