Clifton U12s won the Plate at Keynsham on 19 October 2014. We lost narrowly to Keynsham, 5-0; but then won all our remaining fixtures - against Wells 5-0, Avonmouth 10-5 and Wellington 10-0. We qualified for the Plate final against Lydney, which we won when the Lydney coach took his team off the pitch rather than replace a player as requested by the (excellent) referee. A sad way to win, but we would probably have won anyway. Well done to all the boys for a fantastic day of excellent play, all in the true spirit of the game.
