U10s Aretians v Clifton

So far this year games have either been cancelled or we have managed to play on the Downs. So when the chance came to play a new side who had a playable pitch the opportunity was too good to miss. The weather was also perfect for rugby.

Clifton had 12 players and once again fielded a mixed side of 10 players. The lack of training and game time really showed in the first half. Whilst we led at half time 3-0 (Ben Paine, George Hemming & Jake Davies ) Aretians put up a superb performance and made Clifton work hard for it.

A half time game plan talk on how to pass the ball by "Jink" did the trick. There was some superb passing and running by Clifton in the second half which led to 5 tries (Ben Paine, Jake Davies 4)

This was Aretians' first season and they played well. They not only won all of their own scrums they also won all of Clifton's! They showed great spirit for the whole of the match and were unlucky not to have scored.
