Clifton U12s hosted St Brendans for the first time in 3 years, although we had played them recently in the Clifton Tournament.
After 30 minutes of training it was decided to play a quick 15 minute game before the Remembrance Sunday gathering at 11am.
This was a tight session with Clifton scoring 2 tries by George Heming and Jake Davies.
After the Remembrance Sunday gathering the teams had 2 more sessions. Clifton have recently had an influx of new players, all forwards, so decided to have two packs who they changed in each session making sure that all boys got to play a game.
The next session ended up with Clifton scoring 5 tries by Sami Hamid (3), Elliot and Ollie Simcox.
The change of pack did not stop Clifton on their winning streak and SBOB started to tire in the last session with all the strong defence that they had put in. Clifton crossed the try line 9 times, Sami Hamid (4), Paddy Pearce, Millan Rai (2), Jake Davies, Connor Massey.
SBOB had their heads down for most of the 3rd session, allowing Clifton to gain momentum, but a final surge from SBOB saw them score a great consolation break away try before the end of the game.
The game was played in superb spirit and we look forward to seeing SBOB again.
