Taunton RFC hosted us for this away friendly on a beautiful sunny Sunday.
Almost full squad attendence, meant a varied and exciting game against a very good Taunton RFC side.
The way the game panned out in points:
5-0, 5-5, 10-5, 15-5, 15-10, 15-15, 15-20 Clifton
Taunton RFC really made the boys think, and through sheer team work, playing for your mates, determination and figuring out for themselves what they needed to do to unlock this competitive Taunton RFC side, they managed to come away on top, on this occasion.
A solid return for George Davey after injury, combining excellently with Connor Massey, and great to see Matt Hogg firing on all cylinders. Great work from all in both the forwards and backs. Tackling was immense from Theo, K.B. and Sami Hamid. With lovely running from Millan, Isfahan and Matin. All of which was supplied hooked and shoved by the pack for Sanzo and a guest appearance at 9 for Jimmy Davies.
After recent worthwhile and educational games against Aylesbury Bulls and Bath RFC in the BJCC this was a really exhilarating friendly – both sides enjoyed and all thoroughly anticipating the next fixtures Home and Away already in the diary for next season.
Great hosts Taunton RFC and I would say the best deep fried chicken brioche bun the boys have ever had!
