Clifton U10s swap whole team at half time -why? Because we can!

Clifton U10s took a squad of 19 players to North Bristol to play North Bristol, Frampton & Saracens. Saracens did not turn up at the start so we offered to field two sides. An opportunity to use our new reversible shirts and see the two mixed sides do battle.

Clifton selected two equal sides. The first game was against North Bristol. It was a tough game and although Clifton had the upper hand could not get the crucial score. At half time it was 0-0. At this point Saracens turned up and so we did not need to provide a spare team. Just as the second half was about to begin we took all of the players off and replaced them with our second team.

This really through the boys in at the deep end as they were not expecting it, neither were we! They also dominated the half but again could not get the important try against a good North Bristol side.

After a long break due to other games being played Clifton 1s played Clifton As to keep warm during. They may have been teammates off the field but not once they were playing against each other! A hard fought game saw the As win 2-0.

Clifton then played Frampton and decided to play the two sides in either half. Half time Clifton were up 1-0 and finished the game winners 5-0. Tries were scored by Jake, Sami Hamid (3) & Louis.

Saracens who turned up late also went home early so we did not get to play them, another day perhaps.
