A cold windy day on a tight pitch the Clifton boys warmed up ready for kick off against a fired up old Pats with some sizeable units to contend with.

The first half started off strong by the Clifton side but gradually lost our momentum 15 minutes into the game which left Clifton under pressure then saw tackling and handling errors which allowed old Pats to penetrate Cliftons defence and put points on the board.

The positives are the Clifton boys did not allow the fact we were losing to demoralise them. we picked ourselfs up and in the second half showed Old Pats that we were no push over by playing some fantastic fluid rugby, Forwards and Backs working as a unit to achieve a fantastic win to prove we deserved our place in the semi finals.

Special mention to Ben Morgan, Zak Hamid and Ben Somerville for outstanding ball handling and commitment to the tackles. Also an exceptional effort and contribution to the game by Lewis Mason.

Overall I think the Old Pats were great competition and exposed some of our weaknesses.

On a last note well done Campbell Hills for not backing down and showing some true grit under pressure.
