Clifton name team to face Taunton Titans

Clifton make 4 changes to their side to face Taunton Titans at Station Road on Saturday 5th January, kick off 14:30.

Andrew Chesters, Will Pomphery and Sam Harrison come into the starting line up for the National 2 all-West Country clash. Jack Williams, Man of the Match last time out against Dings in the 6 shirt, reverts back to Hooker with Dave Wheeler moving to the bench.

Chesters returns after a lengthy absence following an injury sustained against Canterbury in October with Harrison moving to 12 following his excellent contribution off the bench at Shaftesbury Park.
Tom Francis continues at full back and forms an experienced back 3 with the return of prolific scorer Will Pomphery and Hugh Campbell.

Mitch Spencer continues to captain the side form Scrum Half and the bench is bolstered by the return of youngster Aidan Ali whilst new signings Jack Spencer and Niall Gibbons (both Stourbridge Rugby) will be looking to make their debuts in the Lavender and Black, off the bench.

In addition, Clifton Wanderers will travel to Shaftesbury Park to face a Dings 2nd XV, Kick off 15:00, in a game that will be as competitive as the 1st XV encounter before Christmas. The team includes a large number of players returning from injury including Charlie Bullimore who makes his return to rugby after 18 months out. Matthew Hall also returns having been unavailable for the 1st half of the season. The team also includes a number of other players with National League experience including Max Folkard , Alex Lambert, Beno Edwards and Callum Simpson.
