Clifton U11s played really well today in the match against North Bristol. The passing was fast and clean and the whole team worked together to get the ball out quickly. Our rucking was strong: we got to the breakdowns quickly and retrieved the ball. I felt that our rucking practice at training really paid off in this match.
The team's tries came super fast and I lost count! We got the ball through their line which wasn't too strong in the first half; however, in the second half North Bristol fought back. We remained focused and, sadly for NB, our defence was unbreakable.
I really enjoyed the match as I got a chance to do a conversion for the first time. To improve as a team, I feel we need to try to stop knocking on the ball.
