Clifton add strong back row trio to squad to further increase strength and depth

Clifton are pleased to have secured the signatures of flankers Dan Broady, Tom Wilson and Zinny Norman for the forthcoming season. The trio join Mike Uren in being new additions to the Clifton back row and will provide a wealth of physicality to Clifton's forward pack this season.

Former Cinderford flanker Broady signs on the back of some notable performances in National 1 last season as well as appearances for Gloucestershire and Gloucester A.
An out and out 7, Broady brings excellent defensive work rate, physical ball carrying as well as a threat over the ball and will provide added physicality and athleticism to the back row.

Cardiff University Captain Tom Wilson signs following a sterling year leading Cardiff to their most successful finish in BUCS Super League, losing out to Exeter in the play offs. An abrasive and energetic ball carrier, Wilson was singled out by former Cardiff Uni Director of Rugby Alun Wyn Davies as a key leader and the former Mosley & Cardiff RFC flanker will be looking to make an impact for Clifton in this seasons league campaign.

Zinny Norman signs from Chinnor where he was part of their promotion winning side in 2018. A flanker who gets through a huge amount of work and has high tackle stats, Norman adds strong competition to a strong back row along with Niall Gibbons, who was part of Talking Rugby Unions Nat 2 Team of the Season, Matthew Hall, Uren, Broady and Wilson. With Jack Williams and Luke Stratford also able to be moved to the flank, the new signings will add quality and depth to Clifton's back row options.

Clifton finish their pre-season programme when they take on Cardiff Met this Friday 30th August, 7:45 kick off at Station Road.
