This week 17 Lord Mayor's medals were presented to individuals who live or work in Bristol and have served the people of the city through
voluntary or community work.

"Norman has been a great servant of Bristol in many different ways
over many years. He has been involved in his local Residents' Association since 1963 and is a keen sportsman. He has been a player, chairman and president of Clifton Rugby Football Club, where he is currently a Trustee.
He is vice-president of the Bristol University Rugby Football Club and a trustee of the Bristol Kenya Partnership charity.
Norman has been the city trumpeter since 1963 and played with his father, Arthur, for many years until his death three years ago at
civic and ceremonial events and services".
