All at Clifton Rugby, and the whole rugby community knew how Ellis faced his illness with incredible courage, strength, and an unshakable sense of humour that never dimmed.

A true Old Red, Ellis was the heart and soul of his club—a fierce competitor on the pitch and a loyal teammate off it. His impact extended far beyond the game, as seen in the overwhelming support for the #TryForEllis campaign, which inspired so many to join the stem cell register—a legacy that will continue to save lives.
