Clifton Rugby have secured the signature of former player Fin Sharp as they continue to build towards the first game of the new season. Sharp re-signs following a year at National 2 rivals Bury St Edmunds where he was part of a high scoring back three and returns to Station Road looking to continue his great run of form.

"Fin brings a huge amount to the backline, he has out and out pace and his physicality is a huge asset out wide. He had a great season for Bury last year and we are very pleased to have him back." Matt Salter, Head Coach

Having spent 2 previous seasons at Clifton, Sharp's signing adds quality in an area where Salter's squad have been looking to strengthen following the retirement of top try scorer Will Pomphery last season.

"He has real quality and he is going to be a huge threat for us, everyone knows what he is about and to add someone like Fin to the back 3 is a huge positive."

Clifton continue their pre-season preparations following their 42-0 loss to Hartpury with the visit of Cardiff Met on Friday 30th August, Kick Off 7:30pm
