Army Fly Half amongst new additions to squad ahead of final Pre-Season fixture

Clifton Rugby have secured the signings of Army Fly Half James Dixon, former Bedford & Llanelli Centre Kieran Griffiths, England Counties U20 Full back Cameron McDonald and Army Fullback Connor Hull.

Dixon has been the Army's starting 10 in the last 4 Babcock Trophy victories over the Navy at Twickenham and played a key role in their 29-20 win in 2017, scoring 14 points. The former Bedwas player has also turned out for Harlequins A and will be representing England in the Services World Cup in Japan this Autumn.

Griffiths signs for Clifton having had spells at Championship side Bedford as well as Llanelli. The former Millfield School product brings good physicality and distribution at 12 and has gone well in recent pre-season fixtures against Pontypridd & Hartpury.

Cameron McDonald signs following his recent spell at Bracknell where he covered 15, wing as well as Center. He has represented England Counties U18 & U20 in that time and made his debut against Pontypridd at the start of August. He will provide excellent depth to the back 3 and in midfield.

Finally, Connor Hull signs following spells at Chippenham Rugby as well as being part of the Army XV this season. A consistent and accurate goal kicker, Hull signs for Clifton following an impressive pre-season and again, adds depth to the attacking options that Matt Salter can call upon this season.

All 4 players are involved in Clifton's final pre-season fixture this evening against Cardiff Met, 19:45 Kick Off.
