In the interests of hygiene and safety NO DOGS are permitted on any part of the club’s grounds and the use of BBQ’s is not permitted.
Parking
Marshalls will direct you to park within our grounds, you must not park on the A46.
Entry is £5 per car and you will receive a programme of the event.
Please inform me if you intend to travel by coach.
Check in
A club representative will need to register their players and team at the Club House upon arrival. At check in, you will be advised on which pitch you will be based and your team’s pool draw.
You will also receive a team ‘goody bag’ from the RFU which will contain:
- Certificates of attendance for you to fill in for your team/s
- Collectable pin badges
- Other RFU treasures...
Team Base & Spectators
Areas alongside the pitches will be designated for your team base and spectators.
Please help the smooth running of the day by adhering to these areas and ask the stewards for assistance if required. Each team will be allocated to a specific pitch so there will be no movement between pitches during the day.
We hope that the weather will be kind to us but if not, there will be some limited shelter available around the club. However, we would recommend that if teams have gazebo’s or tents that they bring them along.
Briefing for Coaches
Please ensure your coach/es are present on the steps outside of the Club House for the briefing by the GRFU representative at 09:45
The Games
• Teams consist of 4 players
• All games will be 5 minutes each way, with a minute break for half time
• There will be about 10 pitches with 4 or 5 teams per pitch
• The round robin draw and pitch allocation will be provided on check in at the Club House.
• As U7 coaches are no longer permitted on the field of play (other than the Game Coach), this provides scope for those coaches to manage (referee) other games on other pitches
• The Game Coach (referee) should endeavour to encourage both teams
• NO scores are kept! The emphasis is on participation
Regulations & Code of Conduct
The Age Grades Codes of Practice and U7 rules of play for 2021-22 have been attached as a reminder of how players, coaches, parents and spectators are expected to behave.
Remember that the focus is on Team work, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.
Lastly, the GRFU Participating Clubs letter has been attached as a reminder of what is expected from clubs on the Funday. Please can I ask that you distribute this to all players, coaches, parents and spectators prior to the day.
