Clifton Misfits took on Yate away seeking to right the wrongs of last seasons encounter with the North Bristolians.
Clifton enjoyed a fantastic start to the game with a brace of push over tries by Captain Billy Evans within 12 minutes.
The Misfits kept the pressure on Yate with full back Wesley Paul crossing over and then Matin Nasiri scoring a tremendous try after coming back from a serious injury.
Halftime 14-26.
Following halftime, Fly-half Will Lang scored a shocking interception try which left everyone speechless. Veteran centre Will Pomphrey also scored a beautiful try closely followed by one from winger Leon Paul.
Yate kept themselves in the fight, but were undone by Clifton’s attacking prowess and domination at the set piece.
A tremendous effort from a young and talented Misfits side.
