Clifton U12s put in a big performance against local rivals SBOB. Having been knocked out of the Land Rover Cup by the same opposition earlier in the season in the most unlucky of circumstances (the toss of a coin) we were keen to exact some revenge. However, we did not expect to win 50-10, by far our biggest win against them. As usual we played mixed teams, playing our strongest team only at the end. 28 boys turned up, making selection a bit of a nightmare, but everyone played in at least two matches and everyone was up for the game.
Special mention should go to Ben Rogers for his 3 tries, unsung hero Louis Jones for crashing over, Luke Brenchley and Herbie Gale for their continued excellence at half-back, Sam Sproull for carrying half of SBOB over the line with him and to Monty Binns for a try which looked to me like a run from half-way, looked to him like a run from his own 22, and by the end of the season will have been the length of the field.
