On a day when the southern hemisphere completed its clean sweep in the World Cup quarter finals, Clifton under-13s showed that the northern hemisphere of Bristol is still a force to be reckoned with!

Our boys retained their unbeaten record this season by defeating Thornbury 50 points to nil, with eight tries and five conversions.

The try scorers were Sam Read (two), Herbie, Monty, Luke B, Sam Devane (finishing a fine back move), Sennen and Tom. Matt slotted over the kicks.

It's pleasing that the whole squad played a part and we remain committed to an all-inclusive policy in our 'friendly' matches.

Despite the one-sided scoreline, the game was keenly contested, particularly at the breakdown. Thornbury put up a spirited battle right to the last.
