Clifton U13 vs Frampton Cotterell

Clifton U12's got back to winning ways in the Combination Cup against Frampton Cotterell.

A great team performance in wet and windy conditions saw us through to the Semi Final of the Cup. Frampton provided stiff opposition but with a much improved defensive performance we won a competitive fixture.

We started well with two early tries from Gianmarco and Sam R before being put under pressure for a long period of the second half. Determined defence meant we held out well to lead 14-0 at half time. Frampton came out of the blocks well in the second half scoring an early converted try. Our nerves were eased when Tom scored a great try in the corner after good work from the forwards. The icing on the cake was provided by a storming break away try from Sam R. Hugo converted 3 of the 4 tries.

Special praise has to go to all for the defensive display and learning from last week. Both backs (with great line speed) and forwards (with great rucking) kept the pressure on the opposition and there were lots of good tackles when we needed them.
