Clifton under 13s were knocked out of the Bristol Combination cup as they went down 12-7 to Old Bristolians.
Our boys, supporters and coches were left very disappointed and frustrated with the result given we had much of the possession and territory, but failed to convert this domination into points.
Credit must go to Old Bs' excellent defence, while their pace out wide brought them two well-taken, breakaway tries to lead 12-0.
Our sole try came from Sennen, who touched down after superbly chasing down a long range kick. Hugo's conversion made it 12-7 to set up a tense final five minutes which saw Clifton pressuring for a winning score, but Old Bs held out for the victory.
Praise must go to the boys for continuing to fight to the last, especially after the body blow of going down 12-0 against the run of play.
However, it's back to the drawing board to figure out how we can ensure we convert pressure into points.
Our next chance will come in the Gloucester Cup which starts in the New Year.
