Our season-opener saw us take a comfortable win against North Bristol.
For the record we scored 12 tries while Elliott showed that his summer kicking practice is paying dividends with some fine conversions.
But the real aim was to play a collective game, rather than see a string of solo tries, with a view to preparing for next week's cup match against Bath.
And at times we did move the ball away from the tight areas to give our backs a run, though perhaps we could have done this a bit more.
Our forwards were too powerful in the loose for a game North Bristol side, though the scrums were more even.
We welcomed Ruben back into the fold and new arrivals Tom Sims and Sam Crossley showed that they will strengthen our squad.
A good start to the season.
